Summer Sonic Festival to coroczny organizowany od 2000 roku dwu- lub trzydniowy festiwal muzyki rockowej odbywający się w tym samym czasie w Osace i Chiba. Line-up imprezy tradycyjnie wypełniony jest przez wiele zespołów japońskich promowanych przez niezależne wytwórnie oraz wykonawców międzynarodowych.

W 2014 roku pełne prawa do organizacji imprezy wykupił Live Nation, który jest od tej pory głównym organizatorem festiwalu.
